On 8/17/12 I went up to West Chester, PA and had a custom built billet lockup torque converter installed and had the car tuned by Andrew at Complete Street Performance. On the dyno the car made 326 rwhp and 322 rwtq which is pretty respectable for a stalled auto with stock throttle body
I recently installed a UMI Performance on-car adjustable panhard bar for the rear suspension and a Founders Performance Shock Tower Brace in the engine bay. It is debatable if it actually does anything but brand new was $59 after shipping so nbd and it looks good. Pic of the STB up soon, no pic of the PHB yet.
Haven't been on in a while to update on the car as nothing has really changed. The only mod I have done since the exhaust was installing a pair of BMR adjustable lower control arms. I should be ramping up the frequency of mods though. Here's a short list of the things that could be on the car within the next 6 months....
-UMI Adjustable Panhard Bar/Rod -UMI Subframe Connectors -Founders Performance Strut Tower Brace -Hawk Performance Brake Pads -Circle D or FTI Torque Converter w/ Tranny Cooler -TUNE -BBK SSI Intake Manifold w/ BBK 80/85mm TB On street tires with the stock 2.73 gears I would hopefully be running around a 12.7 ET, If I can get a set of drag radials for the back, 12.5 most likely since that would help the 60' Over winter break I have installed the 1-7/8" long tube headers and 3" off road y-pipe from American Racing Headers and Prothane poly motor mounts. Also dropped in some new NGK TR55 plugs in. These ARH products have REALLY woken up the car as far as noise goes but it sounds amazing. Still running it without a tune at the moment but I can already feel a difference.
Finally going to be installing my ARH 1-7/8" long tube headers, ARH 3" Off-road Y-pipe, Prothane poly motor mounts and swapping plugs for some NGK V-Power TR55's on Friday with some help from a lift and 2 friends. Should be a
Received my headers and y-pipe from American Racing Headers today along with some red Prothane poly motor mounts, an EGR delete plug from GM for the intake manifold, and some spare GM MLS exhaust gaskets. Hoping for install sometime over the next 2 weeks!
Ordered a set of race style American Racing Headers long tube headers with 3" off-road y-pipe, Prothane poly motor mounts, EGR delete plug for the intake manifold, and extra gaskets. Not sure quite when they will arrive or when I will be able to install them but I am going to a dyno day with a few dozen other cars on 10/29/11 to get some horsepower and torque numbers!
